Dinner with Angie Location: China Hill We went out to a place called China Hill to enjoy a bit of dinner after our long day of driving. Featured is Angie, who let us crash at her swank living quarters for a couple days. (and who provided us with countless hours of Mr. Show, The Simpsons, Anime, and fun) - 106 0682 IMG
Quick fix Location: the outskirts of Spokane It was nothing a bit of duct tape wouldn't fix until we got our grubby paws on a soldering iron. - 106 0687 IMG

Death and regrowth Location: Yellowstone There was a really big forest fire in yellowstone in '89 and another in the mid-ninties (I think). Huge tracts in the park were covered with burnt down trees, but this really wasn't depressing because the ground was covered with thousands of baby pines growing up to replace them. The whole cyclical, natural aura got us both into a very Zen-like state and helped us apprecaite what was to come. - ACF37

Boiling ground Location: Yellowstone As Julie promised, the geyser basin didn't always smell great, but it was cool looking. The mud was boiling. I'm serious. We needed some digital video action for this whole park. - 107 0711 IMG
A little geyser Location: Yellowstone This little (~3m) guy was still very cool, especially with the rolling hills of Yellowstone as the backdrop. - 107 0713 IMG

Raise that Morale! Location: the Seattle River Drew's group at Microsoft went whitewater rafting for a "Morale Event". (Of course it was all paid for by Uncle Bill.) The river looks pretty tame at this point, but during the rapids no one has a chance to stop paddling and take a picture. - RaftingTrip1
Bump, Set, Spike Location: the Nooksack River To kill some time before the rafting starts, the NT Advanced Programming Test group plays a little volleyball. (Can you tell which geek Drew is?) - RaftingTrip3
