Now that's a trail
Location: Deception Crags
Check out that tressle. I wonder if it's used for anything but getting to the climbs?

Bright and Early
Location: Write Off Rock, Deception Crags
Judging by the sun (and my watch) I'd say that we got here about 7. Yes, that's 7 AM. No wonder no one else is here yet.

The Handy, not-quite-so-accurate Guidebook
Location: Write Off Rock, Deception Crags
It got us to the crags and helped us find the climbs we wanted, but the drawings were distorted (or maybe we were just distorted).

(Check out the name of climb #1 on the left page. It cracks me up everytime I read it.)

Huh? Belaying? Someone's Climbing?
Location: Write Off Rock, Deception Crags
You mean he's supposed to be on belay? Don't worry he shouldn't fall.

No Running in the Halls!
Location: Write Off Rock, Deception Crags
Abe obviously didn't heed the name of the climb, as he ran right up it.

Looks Like We Have Company
Location: Write Off Rock, Deception Crags
The Blue Jay is probably wondering why we're having such a hard time getting to the top of the cliff.

Sharp, Pointy Rock
Location: Nevermind Wall, Deception Crags
Most people consider grabbing sharp objects bad, however climbers are truly a different breed.

Neverigine
Location: Nevermind Wall, Deception Crags
Drew takes on Neverigine.

I wonder what where the name Neverigine came from... probably some long-forgotten inside joke that we could never hope to understand.

Location: Nevermind Wall, Deception Crags

The Trip to Redmond: Climbing at Deception Crags

Date: 25 June 2000
Maybe the best climbing trip we made during the whole trip. The scenery was incredible, and the climbs were a blast.
