Hannah, another bound for the Bay Area, sitting on my bed. Note the familiar sarong on the wall. That thing has 1001 uses. - Esmeralda and Janet

Le, one of the members of my 12-person CMA group (don't even try keeping all the groups straight). She's eating lunch during one of our "synthesis sessions" that take place when teaching ends every day. - Class

A herd of graphics geeks. This picture was taken on Monday, before the exhibition opened, when there were only academic papers and courses going on. So the more "colorful" part of the crowd was not out in force yet. - IMG 3061

And now, our students. This is Willie. - nutrition break

Camille, one of our collaborative, gets ready before her full day of teaching. - IMG 3058
Jet Ski surfboard? This 300cc gasoline motor has been squashed into a board for riding. Why at SIGGRAPH? Your guess is as good as mine. - Candace creates

We chose the "natural" entrance, and were warned that it would be quite challenging. The naturaly entrance consisted of asphalt-paved, gently-inclined trail all the way through the cave. With lights. But hey, it was pretty and hassle-free. I won't complain. - lunch line
The first thing that greets us when we exit our dorm at 6:30 every morning: a line of boxed lunches. I can never look a turkey sandwich in the face again. - bus 7am
On the bus, 7 am, bound for Markham Middle School.
