class, last day - Leslie and Bryan cook
They miss the kitchen! With one set of camp silverware and one set of camp pans, Leslie and Bryan valiantly attempt a meal in Leslie's pittance of a kitchen. It turns out marvelously. Mom's spaghetti sauce--always the inaugural meal. - Team building 3

My view, from the back of the line. - Team building
Team-building! Whee! We get unnecessarily close with our CMA groups trying to make our way across the grass on posterboard lily-pads. - Friday afternoon 3
Until the TFA staff has something else fairly ridiculous for us to do. - Friday afternoon 2
Relaxing in the grass on campus for a few minutes, after a loooong week. - Friday afternoon

Lots of group work. Lots of posters. - CS session 2
All the teachers now in class. During the morning when we're not teaching and all afternoon, we teachers become students again. Usually pretty bad ones. There's this decompressing period after you walk out of the classroom during which we are, for all intents and purposes, 13 years old ourselves. - CS session

A year later, the two travelers see the other ocean together. We've now traveled the entire length of Our Great Nation together :) - IMG 3016
LA at last! Isn't it to soon to be in the last city? - IMG 3015
Within 15 minutes of arriving in Vegas, we are disgusted and return to the interstate to put the horrid city behind us. - IMG 2853 003

Mitad del Mundo. A monument erected on the equator, which is about 30km north of Quito. Quite impressive, even though it's about 100m off the actual mark, which they discovered only six years ago using GPS and GIS. Oops! - IMG 2846 002
Old Town. We are staying in new town, so we decided to visit some of the old buildings and churches and stuff, which I actually find to be pretty outrageously boring. - IMG 2820
Sunset in Santiago, many hours of waiting later. We forgot to take a picture of our last flight from Santiago to Quito that lasted about 5 hours. The total travel time was about 34 hours. Whee. - IMG 2818
We arrived in Santiago at about 7am (time there is the same as eastern). We got a coupon for lunch, and only had to wait through the 11hr layover. Here is your humble narrator getting a little sleep in the terminal.
