pulpo gallego y beberechos - IMG_2343
His hands full, Jeff accepts an assist on enjoying a slice of octopus. This may also be photographic evidence of cold-germ transferral. - Pulpo and germ transfer
Bryan helped Jeff eat his beloved pulpo gallego while his hands were full of a certain 1-year-old. This may also be the moment when cold germs were transferred from one family to another. - IMG_2344
J/S/M retire for Max's nap, and Bryan and Leslie press on to a Barcelona history museum that features supercool subterranean Roman ruins. Such glamorous facilities as laundromats, fish sauce (garum) factories, and wineries are featured. - IMG_2345
The hollow vats here are amphoras that stored wine while aging. - Roman ruins
One of our favorite sights was a history museum in Barcelona, complete with various layers of excavated ruins. This was a Roman wine shop; the circular container held aging wine. - IMG_2346

A Visgoth church was built on top of the older Roman commerical buildings, so a few steps up netted slightly different ruins. - IMG_2348

Leslie and Max enjoy some gin cocktails before dinner. - Leslie, Max, gin and tonic
We were proud to take Max to his first gin bar, where we drank delicious cocktails and prepared for our outstanding dinner across the street at Lolita (formerly Inopia, a site on the Spain On the Road Again tour and our favorite food venue from our 2007 visit). - IMG_0072
