HOW BRYAN SPENT MONDAY
HOW BRYAN SPENT SUNDAY
But first, Leslie got a look at the UCSD campus, particularly the central library Dr. Seuss designed.
From inside the Geisel library.
The front view (it's supposed to evoke the tree of knowledge).
Waiting for faithful bus #34.
Leslie took a good guess at which stop would get her to the top of Pacific Beach, and went on a long, eerie morning walk through the heavy fog.
Under the Crystal Pier.
The rented bike and the Mission Beach boardwalk.
The bike and the (still pretty foggy) beach.
A scene from the bike ride, at the southern-most point of the beaches.
Where Leslie parked with a novel today.
HOW LESLIE SPENT MONDAY: tooling around Pacific and Mission beaches, plus surrounding neighborhoods, on a rented bike.
A street from Leslie's self-guided neighborhood tour.
Kono's: where Leslie ate lunch.
Again: proving she was really there.
The path above Pacific Beach.
Law Street: another part of the neighborhood tour.
Where Leslie was sitting for half an hour without reading the sign.
Some people, the beach.
Some flowers, the beach.
Another shot of the beach-front path.

After an Italian dinner, a long walk, and an early bedtime Monday night, they got up early Tuesday to explore downtown SD. (pictured: a pretty cool building)
