I invited six of my friends over to decorate my newly-rented, single-bedroom, weird-but-cool house. They had been given a small budget and complete reign over what was to be done. I left at 6 and came back at midnight to see the damage (I had promised to cook dinner beforehand but had to put that off till the next day).

Needless to say I was totally impressed at the tasteful job they did considering how cheap you can buy lots of really nasty porn mags.
