After only about 30 minutes of waiting in traffic we arrive. - IMG 0146
Our final haul: 7 chairs, an end table, and a bookcase. - IMG 0147
Can it fit? Leslie had her doubts, but she fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The first is never get involved in a land war in Asia. The second, and only slightly less well-known, is this: never underestimate the power of the hatch. - IMG 0148

The dining chairs, $20 each. - IMG 0150
The living room with Bryan's stuff moved in. This includes the couch, piano, guitar, TV, electronics, HUGE speakers (soon to be repainted). The room doesn't look quite as big now, but it's much more homey. - IMG 0151

The reading nook in the bedroom, featuring the inexplicably large and comfy green chair, former star in Bryan's Speedway Apartment. - IMG 0157
The bed. Really it's nicer than this picture, the flash's light is not very flattering. - 101 0160

Many of the biggest trees (like this one) had been gutted by fire at some point in their history. So while they were still healthy and thriving (takes more than a fire to kill a 2,000-year-old tree), you could could crawl inside them and stand it the middle of the trunk. - 101 0165
More: looking up a trees. Whee! - 101 0166
There were a surprising number of stands where 6 or 7 giant trees grew right next to each other. Here, Bryan and Jeff stand between several.
